About The Tampa Jewish Community Center & Federation

The Tampa Jewish Community Center & Federation is a functional Federation (all services are administered through the Federation) committed to strengthening and sustaining the Jewish community from generation to generation. We are a place of Klal Y’Israel –the mutual respect and inclusion of diversity within Jewish life – and our campus helps Jews of all ages and affiliations overcome distances and differences to find common ground. Our 21 acre Jewish campus includes the following:

  • Tampa Jewish Federation
  • Tampa Jewish Community Center (provide social, educational, recreational and athletic programs)
  • Jewish Community Relations Council (provide community relations for the Jewish community serving Hillsborough and Pasco Counties)
  • Jewish Community Center Preschool (manage three locations North, South Tampa and Brandon serving more than 500 preschoolers)
  • Jewish Community Center Afternoons (after school programs)
  • Camp JCC (summer day camp program)
  • Weinberg Village Assisted Living Residence
  • Sylvan & Jean Orloff Memory Support Unit
  • Tampa-Orlando-Pinellas Jewish Foundation (provides permanent resources through endowments to improve the quality of life locally, in Israel and abroad)
  • Tampa Jewish Family Services (provides counseling, social and senior services, as well as a food bank)

We serve every age group, Jews from every denominational level and affiliated Jews and most important un-affiliated Jews. We also offer a non-threatening and non-judgmental environment for inter-faith couples and families who want to participate in Jewish life. We provide scholarships to single moms, seniors who live on a limited fixed income and to all others in need, especially during these difficult economic times. Throughout all of our work our mission remains constant: helping Jews engage in the joys of Jewish living.

About The Jewish Community Center (JCC) of Pinellas County and the Golda Meir/Kent Jewish Centers

The Jewish Community Center (JCC) of Pinellas County and the Suncoast Jewish Community Center's purpose is to embrace, promote and provide for enrichment of Jewish community life. We are the recognized community leader in providing outstanding, affordable and creative programs and we guarantee life enrichment and participant satisfaction.

We promote Jewish learning, Jewish holiday celebrations, cultural arts programming, social opportunities, health and wellness programs and community-wide events. Our programs are available for people of all ages and include activities for early childhood, youth and teens, adult and senior programs, family activities and many inter-generational programs. Our health and wellness programs include learning opportunities, facilitate self growth and encourage life enhancement. Our Social and Cultural Arts programming promotes intellectual enrichment, creative expression, personal growth, social connections and the development of new skills and provides opportunities to expand the mind and broaden friendships, promote intellectual enrichment, creative expression, personal growth, social connections and the development of new skills.

In addition to providing outstanding programs at our two centers, we function as a "center without walls" and have adopted the Dayton Plan, that provides outstanding programming and services to our community both at our Centers and at a variety of locations throughout Pinellas County.

One of the most powerful influences on a young Jewish child is their summer camping experience. It is during those childhood years that a youngster develops a clearer picture of who they are, what helps to define them and where they hope to go in the future. Jewish campers and staff in Pinellas have benefited from this type of experience at Camp Kadima, The JCC of Pinellas County/Suncoast Jewish Community Center's most enduring summer day camp program for children entering kindergarten through eighth grade.

The Suncoast Jewish Community Center creates a sense of community by creating and supporting interesting, educational, quality events and connects all corners of our community together for outstanding programs that are great for all ages. We bring a little bit of Israel to our community, Jewish culture and teach the joys of mitzvot (good deeds) and tzedakah (charity) through example.
